At this point, it seems a little overprotective. Maybe it's worth removing canonical bots or meta bots to make sure I'm sending a clear signal to Google. Now, let’s look at what really matters. Did my ranking improve? Or, at least, are they stable? Looks good. I got number one with my brand name (Brilliant Minimalism), maintained my number one spot with my slogan, and even made it to the top with minimalism. I don’t expect to be ranked for minimalism or the Yahoo logo anytime soon these are just stretch goals at best. It's important to see incremental progress, even if it doesn't always happen as Phone Number List quickly as you'd like. Will these Google Analytics rankings help my traffic? Honestly, just a little bit. Here's a graph of sessions from the first few months: As far as graphs go, it's not a bad graph, but the spikes correspond to blog posts and almost entirely to traffic from social media (mostly at the moment). on the right side of the chart is a good sign, and some of it comes from. I think this picture really illustrates the modern dilemma. You won’t get search exposure without first building traffic and interest in some way. For me, networking was an obvious tool, but in the first few months of the project it meant a sustained effort on the established network. For those without a network at all, it will take longer to set up. Review Part I hope this short series at least gives you some insight into how to get started and how to put the pieces together. I hope it's not all bad news either. Ranking won't be easy this year, but it can be done, and it's still important to get the basics right.
